Hi, Mother! I’m here at work with your cousin-in-law, Dodie Sandoval (Helen Knickerbocker’s oldest daughter). I think your life sounds FABULOUS!!!! Can’t wait to try some of your family recipes. Like you, I love nature. A plaque in a garden house I saw on a tour says it all, “I live in my garden, I only sleep in my house.” Truer words were never spoken. Dodie just picked a jar of homemade spiced blackberry jam from some jars I brought in for co-workers. We grow fruits, berries, herbs and veggies, along with flowers for the soul. Chickens share the garden with the bees in our hive and worms in a bin. When folks tell me gardening looks like too much work, I disagree and tell them it’s a labor of love and the very best therapy! You are living the life I wish I could – ENJOY! And thank you for sharing it with me and the world.
